This where it’s at boys n girls.
When you look at the stone in white light, it looks blue because it scatters blue light like the sky. If you look at a lamp through it, the lamp looks yellow, similar to how the sun looks yellow through the atmosphere. Turn the stone sideways, and the light turns red, like a sunset, because more blue and green light scatter away. Besides being a cool physics toy, it’s hefty, feels great to hold, and looks amazing.

All the stones are beautiful and the price is great. They should really label the opal as opalite though. It’s still lovely, but I like knowing exactly what I’m getting.

There are some flaws in the rock’s finish. It doesn’t look like the one in the ad. I wouldn’t buy from this seller again. Too small for the price.
